What is sin?
Sin is an act that “misses the mark…” when we fall short of God’s expectations, we commit sin. This was established when Eve listened to the garden serpent, and gave apple to herself and Adam (Genesis 2-3) This takes many forms. But the fact is that we fall short (Romans 3) all the time and that requires a solution-that is where God, in his glory, sent his one and only son Jesus to conquer death, grave, and all sin for all time. And for those in Christ, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1) and all things work together for good (Romans 8:28)
Who is Jesus?
What is the gospel? The gospel means “good news”
2000 or so years ago, a man named Jesus was crucified on good Friday, then rose from the dead 3 days later on what we call easter Sunday.
By performing this selfless act-Jesus (one man, fully God, fully human) paid the penalty for all sins-past, present and future, so that whoever calls on his name shall be saved!
How can I be assured I am saved, or how can I follow Jesus… I am a mess and unworthy.
-Reach out to the Lord directly, “Jesus, I know I am a sinner, but I know you are the savior, and I come to you broken, I am praying you can forgive me of all my sins. I repent for all my sins, known and unknown and give them all to you. Please receive and restore me, as I receive you in my heart now and forever, amen!”
-Have us pray for you! (Prayer Request form)
